As the 2024 wedding season draws to a close (HOW??) I thought I would share some of my favorite trends I saw this year! They’re not all new, but I noticed these choices popping up again and again. Whether they’re new additions to the wedding space or tried-and-true classics we know and love, this year has been filled with amazing events celebrating new love to last a lifetime! Some of the trends were most common with my destination events, and others were trending across the board! (Maybe one day I’ll do a blog post about the best DESTINATION wedding trends!) There are plenty more I could add to the list, so if you think I’ve missed something, drop a comment and share your favorite wedding trend!
Whether you’re hosting a multi-day event at one of the Fincas on the island of Mallorca or simply have a handful of out of town guests attending your local wedding at home, a day-after wedding brunch is a great way to wind down your festivities and show your appreciation to your closest family and friends who have traveled and worked so hard to make your wedding day special. Breakfast and mimosas in a more casual setting is a great way to wrap things up and head off on your honeymoon with lots of amazing memories!
From a string quartet to a 360 photo booth, finding unique and creative ways to bring a bigger than life wedding experience to your guests is sure to leave a lasting impression. Live performances, by a magician or other performer, help your guests to relax and really settle into the enjoyment of the event! A live wedding painter is a wonderful conversation piece for your guests. Welcome your guests into the culture of your heritage or destination with a group activity like the traditional second line inn New Orleans! Specialty favors like customized colognes or permanent jewelry bring a smile to your guests’ faces and show how much you appreciate their presence!
Monochromatic flower arrangements are elegant, timeless, and classic! With modern twists added, like leaving out greenery filler or utilizing contrasting textures of monochrome flowers, you can create an aesthetic that is classic, yet bold and unique!
I just adore this trend! Personally, I know I have voicemails saved that were left on my phone years and years ago by family members that have since passed away. Getting to hear their voice is such a treasure! This fun guest book experience is an amazing way to go “no-clutter” with your guest sign-in, since you just keep an audio file from the day! I think the opportunity to listen on repeat to the special messages your friends and family leave you on your wedding day is a keepsake that only becomes more precious as the years pass on!
